6/23/19 Swan Lake Fire activity increasing

The Swan Lake Fire has become increasingly active this afternoon and as a safety precaution, firefighters have been pulled off the line along the southern and southeastern perimeter. 

 Delays on the Sterling Hwy between mile 58 and mile 75 should expected for awhile due to busy firefighting aircraft overhead. If rerouting is necessary, Skilak Lake Road may be an option for travelers but it's not recommended, especially for RV's, 5th wheelers and semi's.
