Firing operations (burnout) for the Swan Lake Fire have begun near Mystery Creek Road along the Sterling Highway transmission line. These operations are conducted to remove fuel along the transmission line and highway, ahead of the fire.
Be cautious of firefighters and equipment on and entering the roadway as well as smoke. Pilot cars are in use going both directions. Remain vigilant.
