04/14/20 KPB Alerts Emergency Notification Test Scheduled - Wednesday April 15th at 11:00AM

The Borough Office of Emergency Management will be testing the KPB Alerts Emergency Notification System Wednesday April 15, 2020 at 11:00 AM.

The Borough Office of Emergency Management will be testing the KPB Alerts emergency notification system to all landlines and registered cell phones on the Kenai Peninsula Borough.

The test is being conducted to test several improvements that have been made to the system and to encourage folks to register their cell phone numbers if they haven’t already done so.

The OEM is asking that residents leave their feedback about the test. Follow the link for the Alerts Test Form HERE. In the event that KPB Alerts must be activated for an actual emergency, the notification will specify the incident and the actions that should be taken.

NOTE: All landlines within the Borough are currently registered in the KPB Alerts system. In order to receive an emergency notification on your mobile phone you need to complete the registration online at https://alerts.kpb.us/. You can also select to receive text messages or social media alerts when registering.

The KPB Alerts notification is scheduled for April 15, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Individuals that do not receive the test notification by 1:00 PM should fill out the feedback form (link above) or may contact the Office of Emergency Management. Please provide the name of your phone carrier, your physical address and the registered phone numbers.

To provide a technical report or for more information, call 907-262-INFO (4636) or email oem@kpb.us.
