6/19/15 1:20 PM Card Street Fire Sterling Highway Travel Advisory

AK DNR Forestry - BE ADVISED OF POTENTIAL DELAY

Soldotna, Alaska – With the event of the Card Street fire and the continued spread of the fire all vehicle operators need to be aware of the potential for delays along the Sterling Highway between mile post 58 and 75 near the entry and exit for the Skilak Loop Road.  As the Card Street fire continues to burn it may cause highway delays due to heavy smoke, reduced visibility and extreme fire behavior. The travel number 511 with the Alaska Department of Transportation could aid your travel planning effort regards to road delays. Additional information may be forthcoming in the near future. Thank You.

For travel information and road conditions contact the travel number by phone at 511 or on line at
