Aviation resources are hard at work on the Swan Lake Fire. Four CL 215 aircraft have been assigned to assist in suppression efforts on this incident.

When a pilot lowers a CL 215 to skim the surface of a lake, it takes as little as 12 seconds to completely fill the water tanks. It takes considerable skill from a CL 215 pilot to maneuver this unique aircraft. These planes have played an important part in protecting communities such as Cooper Landing.
