Today, a weak upper level high pressure ridge will be in place to start the day with sunshine, however it will quickly move out as a low pressure system moves in to the area overnight bringing a cold front and round of rain.
Precipitation will dampen fuels and limit surface fire spread as deep duff continues to smolder.
