Reminder that Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFR) still exist over the Swan Lake Fire airspace. Aircraft assigned to the Swan Lake Fire are still actively working and flying at different altitudes within the TFR. The Swan Lake Fire has fixed winged planes, helicopters and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) drones assigned to the fire.
The current Swan Lake Fire TFR is 9/2925 NOTAM. Pilots should go to https://tfr.faa.gov/tfr2/list.jsp to obtain complete information about active TFR’s before flying.
This TFR may temporarily reduce impacts to local aviation operators, while providing agency aircraft assigned to the Swan Lake Fire a safe operating airspace to work. Remember that temporary flight restrictions also apply to unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) or drones. Flying aircraft and drones inside the TFR puts everyone at risk of a fatal accident. Non-fire aircraft intrusions within the Swan Lake Fire TFR are illegal and will shut down fire agency aircraft operations, along with slowing the fire containment progress. #SwanLakeFire
