Canadair CL-215 Super Scooper air tankers are operating on
Kenai Lake near Cooper Landing. They are attracting a lot of attention and
large groups of onlookers have gathered.
There are a number of hazards presented by this situation.
Stopped vehicles and pedestrians on or near it are at risk
of being struck by moving vehicles. Do
not watch from a location directly under the flightpath of the aircraft. A mechanical failure or falling debris from
the aircraft could cause serious injury.
