08/08/19 Burn Suspension for the Kenai Peninsula Effective Today August 08, 2019 Until Further Notice

Burn suspension for the Kenai Peninsula

(Kenai Peninsula, AK) – The Alaska Division of Forestry, Kenai-Kodiak Area Office has issued a general burn permit suspension due to hot and dry conditions in the region.  This burn suspension starts August 8, 2019.  The suspension includes the burning of debris and brush piles and burn barrels.
 
Cooking and warming campfires area allowed, however must be kept smaller than three foot in diameter.  If you build a campfire, please remember to have plenty of water on site to control and extinguish the fire.  Please ensure that the fire is completely extinguished when you are done.
