8/31/19 6:30 PM - Swan Lake Operations Update
Crews extinguishing heat sources near the perimeter (mopping up) are taking full advantage of the rain and cooler weather over the fire. Reduced fire behavior allows firefighters to focus on the tasks at hand without as much concern about fire spread. The increased moisture reduces the effort required or directly extinguishes some materials. More moderate temperatures also reduce the potential for heat related illnesses and related hazards.
