Smoke Outlook for 8/26 - 8/27

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Advisory in effect through Monday afternoon for the Susitna Valley, Kenai Peninsula, and includes the Copper River Valley.
Southcentral Alaska is being impacted by the smoke from multiple wildfires in the surrounding area.

Kenai Peninsula: This afternoon into tomorrow Cooper Landing down to Seward will be the most impacted by the Swan Lake smoke with wind shifting to the north. Soldotna down to Homer may see increasing smoke mid to late afternoon. However, it will eventually clear on the western side
of the Peninsula with northwest flow Tuesday. Health If you begin to notice health effects from smoke, you are encouraged to follow the "actions to protect yourself."
