Smoke
|
Daily Average Surface Smoke 8/29 |
Susitna Valley: The overnight inversion may keep surface smoke in low lying areas until late morning today. Expect smoke to settle in again tonight into tomorrow morning. Anchorage Area: Expect some improvement midday when inversion breaks. Smoke will increase again late afternoon as Swan Lake smoke moves north. Smoke will settle into the area overnight into Friday morning.
|
Daily Average Surface Smoke 8/30 |
Kenai Peninsula: Expect dense smoke again on the western side of the Peninsula impacting Homer north to Kenai, Soldotna, Nikski and Sterling. Cooper Landing will continue to be impacted due to the proximity to the fire. Look for some improvement there as the weather pattern changes Friday
evening. Seward should continue to see improvement in air quality during the day. There may be some smoke settling into town at night with inversion.
