8/26/19 09:45 a.m. Sterling Highway is still open

08/26/19 @ 09:45 AM. Motorists are asked not to travel the Sterling Hwy today. If you must travel, the highway is currently open. Please follow the pilot car. Do not stop or pull out of line. High fire activity between MP 53-71 is anticipated today. Firefighters are working the fire as it progresses along the right of ways. Long delays are anticipated for motorists that choose to travel the Sterling Hwy. Updates and helpful fire-related information is also posted at www.kpboem.com or call 907-262-INFO (4636).
