8/22/19 4:40 pm Update on North Fork Fire READY status

The North Fork Fire between Homer and Anchor Point has had dozer line all the way around it for 2 days and crews are mopping up.

The Diamond Ridge area remains in READY status because of an excess of caution. There are some winds expected tonight and AK Division of Forestry wants to be sure the lines will hold before removing that designation.
