08/17/2019 NOTICE: Swan Lake Fire Travel Advisory

Swan Lake fire activity is expected to increase along the Sterling Highway. 


Smoke on the Sterling Highway midday on Saturday 8/17


Due to smoke impacts and fire activity your ability to travel the highway (approximately mp 54-63) or the Upper Kenai River may be affected.

This is an evolving situation that may affect the ability to launch and take out at Sportsman’s and Jim’s Landing boat launches.
