08/27/19 7:15 pm Sterling Highway Remains Open - Travel is NOT advised

At this moment the Sterling Highway remains open. Travel on the Sterling Hwy from Watson Lake to the Seward Hwy (MP 71-36) is NOT advised. 

We have had calls and see posts from people saying the highway is closed but it is NOT CLOSED.

There may be long lines as people wait for the pilot car to shuttle them between mile 71 (Watson Lake) and the intersection of the Sterling and Seward Highways, mile 36. Please be prepare to wait with food and water.
