Smoke Outlook for 8/27 - 8/28

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Advisory in effect through Wednesday afternoon for the Susitna Valley and Kenai Peninsula.

South central Alaska is being impacted by the smoke from multiple wildfires in the surrounding area.

Kenai Peninsula: Dense smoke is impacting Cooper Landing down to Seward. This will continue into tomorrow. The Western side of the Peninsula will also continue to see air quality and visibility impacts especially at night and in the early mornings.
