08/28/19 @ 07:00 AM Sterling Highway Update

Traffic on the highway was reduced to one lane with pilot car last night due to dense smoke near MP68. At 05:00 AM this morning, traffic flow continues in one lane between mile 71 (Watson Lake) and the intersection of the Sterling and Seward Highways, mile 36. Be mindful of traffic control signs and law enforcement officers on scene.
Smoky conditions are expected to be in Cooper Landing area. Please be prepare to wait; bring food and water and have a full tank of fuel.
