Winds were light on the Caribou Lake Fire today. Based on reports from firefighters at the Fire this afternoon, the fire was burning intermittently in the grasses and moss, but was not as active in the black spruce.
Aircraft continue to support the firefighters on the ground as needed with water drops.

Winds are forecast to increase through the weekend, so firefighters and aviation resources are taking advantage of the current conditions to establish and secure control lines around the fire’s edge.
