8/24/19 7:30 Am Sterling Highway Update

As far as we know the Sterling Highway remains open this morning.  We have not been able to verify it this morning, but the status on 511 Alaska shows it open.  The Troopers have not been able to verify one way or another.

Assuming it is open, its likely to be very smoky this morning so drive with caution and your headlights on.  If you haven't gotten on the road yet, there is a lot going on near the highway so be aware that traffic could be delayed at any time and be prepared with snacks and water
